In astrology, beauty is relative. It is the result of a person’s own effort, their karma and their luck – and in childhood, the luck of the parents. The planets create energies that shape both the strengths and the imperfections of our appearance. These are the most important observations of beauty astrology:

• A strong Moon gives a gentle, pleasant and graceful appearance, with attractive eyes. A weak Moon can take away from the charm of the face.
• A strong Venus can make a person highly attractive to the opposite sex even without classically beautiful features. Venus gives youthfulness, good hair and skin, and physical appeal.
• A strong Ascendant lord gives a healthy, well-built body – and good health is an important part of beauty.
• A strong Mercury adds intelligence and attractive speech. Beauty needs a clever mind to present itself well, and Mercury completes it.
• The Moon and Jupiter must be well connected. Even with a strong Moon and Venus, a person may not look attractive if the Moon is not in a Kendra or Trikona (angle or triangle) from Jupiter, or part of a Raja Yoga. We have seen a chart with the Moon in the 6th house from Jupiter which, despite a strong Venus, Moon and Mercury and a good physique, did not make the person appear attractive to others.
• The Moon and Venus in a good relationship – for example the Moon in a Kendra or Trikona from Venus, forming a Raja Yoga – make a person very beautiful and attractive to the opposite sex.

Remedies for Beauty

Astrology has many more rules about beauty, but after studying thousands of horoscopes we have found that the combinations above hold true consistently. From a birth chart alone, without seeing the person, an astrologer can comment on their looks.
